Terms & Policy for Freelance Web Developer
Scope of Work:
- I, the freelance web developer, agree to provide web development services as agreed upon with the
client.
- The scope of work includes tasks such as website design, development, maintenance, and updates as
mutually
agreed upon.
Payment:
- The client agrees to pay the freelance web developer the agreed-upon fee for the services rendered.
- Payment terms, including the amount, method, and schedule, will be discussed and agreed upon before
starting
the project.
- Any additional expenses incurred during the project, such as domain registration or hosting fees, will
be
reimbursed by the client.
Communication:
- Effective communication is essential for the successful completion of the project.
- The client and freelance web developer will establish preferred channels of communication, such as
email,
phone calls, or project management tools.
- Timely responses to inquiries and feedback are expected from both parties to ensure smooth progress of
the
project.
Intellectual Property:
- The client retains ownership of any content, graphics, or materials provided for the development of the
website.
- The freelance web developer retains ownership of any pre-existing code, templates, or libraries used in
the
project.
- Upon completion and full payment, the freelance web developer grants the client a non-exclusive,
royalty-free license to use the developed website.
Confidentiality:
- Both the client and freelance web developer agree to keep any confidential information exchanged during
the
project confidential.
- Confidential information includes, but is not limited to, proprietary business information, trade
secrets,
and client data.
Project Timeline:
- A mutually agreed-upon project timeline will be established, outlining key milestones and deadlines.
- Delays caused by the client, such as late feedback or content submission, may result in adjustments to
the
project timeline.
- The freelance web developer will make reasonable efforts to adhere to the agreed-upon timeline.
Revisions and Changes:
- The client understands that minor revisions and changes are included in the agreed-upon fee.
- Major revisions or significant changes requested after the completion of the project may incur
additional
charges.
Termination:
- Either party has the right to terminate the project by providing written notice.
- In the event of termination, the client agrees to compensate the freelance web developer for the work
completed up to that point.
